This past weekend we had the pleasure of visiting Babylonstoren for the first time.  Babylonstoren is a vineyard, orchard, spa, hotel and restaurant all rolled into one, and is situated between Paarl and Franshoek.  We really enjoyed wondering through the formal gardens (inspired by the Company Gardens of the Cape) and spotting all the different fruits and vegetables.  We meandered through to the Greenhouse Restaurant for a delicious light lunch of sandwiches and homemade iced tea.  All the meals are prepared beautifully using ingredients from the farm.  You can also visit the farm stall to buy fresh bread and various other items.  I can highly recommend Babylonstoren for a pleasant day out.
