I was delighted to hear on Friday that I had won tickets to this year’s Kamers vol Geskenke (meaning “Rooms full of gifts” in Afrikaans), courtesy of the lovely Nadia van der Mescht.  So yesterday my friend and I drove through to Stellenbosch to visit this amazing market.

Kamers (as it is fondly known) has recently moved to the lovely Webersburg Wine Estate, just outside Stellenbosch.  We were spoilt with amazing weather (although it was a bit too hot at times in the tents), and the views around the estate were incredible.  The market also felt a bit more spacious than recent years, which was very welcome.

If you’re a local I hope you had a chance to visit, and Gauteng readers still have a chance to shop till they drop from 3-8 December in Irene, Pretoria.  Selected items are also available in the Kamers Online Store.

I wanted to share some photos with you, but I soon realised that I wouldn’t be able to do justice to the amazing selection of products that were on offer.  Instead, I decided to focus on the beautiful colour palettes that were represented.  I hope you enjoy!

  1. Thank you for a beautiful post, Dee! And what a fresh idea to share colour palettes. We live it!
Hope we’ll see you at KAMERS 2014 Cape Town, when we come to the Castle 5-8 June.
