Hello friends.  Goodness, it’s been so quiet over here the last couple of weeks.  I had to take some time to prioritize other areas of my life (like handing in my PhD thesis), but I’m happy to report that things should be getting back to normal here on my poor little neglected blog.  To get things going I thought I’d share some little things that I’ve been loving lately.

The Body Shop has recently launched a new range of hand creams in all our favourite scents/flavours.  I’ve been a fan of their Wild Rose hand cream for a long time, since it has a subtle but beautiful scent, and moisturizes without being sticky.  When I spotted this new range in store last week I was tempted to try them all, and I walked out of the store smelling like a fruit salad!  They’re small enough to pop into a handbag, and would make a lovely addition to any gift.

The folks at Nifty250 (the geniuses who print polaroid-style photos from your Instagram account) are running a fun competition called The Nifty Colour Project.  Each week is allocated a colour, and you are encouraged to share and tag them in a photo on Instagram that depicts that colour.  I was really chuffed last week (orange week), when a photo of my beloved Kevin won me a voucher for 20 prints.  This week’s colour is yellow, so follow them on Instagram and start entering!

Finally, since Cape Town keeps tempting us with warm weather, I decided that my desktop needed an injection of Spring.  After some searching I came across this gorgeous photo from Justina Blakeney.  You can head over to her site to download it (and while you’re there, take a look around, it’s beautiful!).
