So, we’re back from our weekend in the mountains with the in-laws.  And yes, we did get to play in the snow!  I lived a somewhat snow-deprived childhood in a coastal town, so my extent of snow experiences was limited to yearly sightings on the top of the local mountains.  I did get to see some falling in London when I lived there, but it quickly became dirty slush, and wasn’t nearly enough to have a proper play in.  Hence my excitement when we drove into the Drakensberg mountains to fields and field of thick, pure white snow!  I think my family thought I had lost it a little when I skipped off into lovely white stuff, giggling like a child.  Anyway, I got to build my very first (and second) snowman, and had a beautiful weekend that I won’t forget.
